About Me

"What makes something constitutional? And why isn't reproductive healthcare for women protected under that same standard?"

My name is Catherine Bales. I am a senior at the University of Florida and an aspiring constitutional lawyer with a passion for questioning precedent and advocating for justice. As someone living with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, my personal experiences fuel a larger question: why is female reproductive healthcare treated as a political talking point rather than a constitutional right? My studies in Political Science, Health Disparities in Society and Leadership, paired with hands-on research, leadership roles, and advocacy work, drive my mission to reshape how our laws reflect the lived realities of women. I want to challenge the institutions that have overlooked generations of voices and work toward a legal future where equity is embedded in the legal frameworks of the country.
